Everyone appears to support the bill, but what I do not understand is this: A good change was made in the legislation, as you point out, of putting ``police officer'' as the authority instead of ``peace officer,'' not that I entirely agree with that because we have had ``peace officer'' forever in the Criminal Code and there has been no dispute as to the fact that under the Criminal Code that meant a police officer.
