Notre approche générale est que, si l'on parvient à mettre au point un système simple d'évaluation de la capacité d'apprendre de l'enfant à l'entrée à l'école, cela permettra d'économiser beaucoup d'efforts et d'argent en intervenant au moment où l'intervention n'est pas seulement relativement bon marché mais aussi relativement facile, au lieu d'attendre que l'enfant ait fait plusieurs années de scolarité, lorsque les conséquences risquent d'être trop prononcées pour pouvoir intervenir avec succès.
Our general approach and philosophy is that if we can devise, in a simple and feasible way, a way to test a child's readiness to learn at school at the entry point, that is, before they enter grade 1, we may be saving a lot of effort and money by intervening when intervention is not only relatively cheap but relatively easy, rather than waiting until the advanced school years where the consequences may be too far gone for a successful intervention.
