– (EN) Madame la Présidente, en mon nom, mais aussi en celui de mon collègue, Charlie McCreevy, je voudrais remercier le Parlement européen d’avoir posé cette question orale sur l’état de la mise en œuvre de la directive Services, qui tombe à point nommé.

– (FR) J’ai voté la décharge à la Commission sur l'exécution du budget des 6, 7, 8 et 9 Fonds européens de développement (FED) pour l'exercice 2006 sur la base du rapport de mon excellent collègue Suédois Christofer Fjellner qui, en fait, a repris le très bon travail de mon autre excellent collègue Finlandais Alexander Stubb, nommé ministre dans le gouvernement de son Etats membre, et qui recommande au Parlement de donner la décharge.
– (FR) I voted for discharge to the Commission in respect of the implementation of the budget for the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th European Development Funds (EDFs) for the financial year 2006 on the basis of the report recommending that Parliament should grant discharge by Mr Fjellner, who in fact took over the very good work by Mr Stubb, who has been appointed a minister in the Finnish Government.

I should say for myself that I've just started this job a few weeks ago, so I'll be relying on my colleague Peter Fawcett, who has himself been involved quite heavily in many of the consultations with the provinces, along with colleagues in Environment Canada.
