Tout comme la Constitution slovaque, de nombreuses Constitutions européennes fixent les droits de leurs citoyens vivant en dehors de leurs frontières.
My fellow Member, Mr Boştinaru is not in the Chamber anymore, so he cannot reply, but I would like to answer Mr Szájer that I, as a Romanian citizen, do know that Romanian citizens living outside the territory of Romania can vote and can have passports, and, similarly to the Slovak constitution, many European constitutions lay down the rights of their citizens living outside their borders. I do not see anything objectionable in this.

– (DE) Monsieur le Président, je voudrais simplement demander à mon collègue député s’il ne sait pas qu’au Parlement, nous avons adopté à une large majorité une résolution - en ce qui me concerne, j’ai voté pour cette résolution - dans laquelle nous avons clairement souligné les perspectives européennes de l’Ukraine.
– (DE) Mr President, I would simply like to ask my fellow Member whether he is not aware that we have adopted a resolution in Parliament with a large majority – I myself voted in favour of this resolution – in which we clearly underlined the European perspective of Ukraine.

To top it all, and this really shows how interested the Minister of Labour and the government are in this whole reform of Part II of the Canada Labour Code, the member for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles had to make a point of calling the Minister of Labour to order here in the House because she was not listening and was showing no interest at all in the remarks of my colleague, who was in the process of offering some very enlightening explanations about Bill C-12, specifically with respect to pregnant and nursing women and the bill's serious deficiencies in that regard.
