Évidemment, c'est une mesure incitative, pour la personne qui présente un plaidoyer de culpabilité, lorsqu'elle sait qu'elle va obtenir une absolution curative, mais cela supprime totalement l'effet dissuasif de la sentence, puisque c'est la justice qui a le gros bout du bâton, dans la mesure où elle peut supprimer le privilège de la conduite et ouvrir un casier judiciaire.
It's an incentive, obviously, for somebody to go in and plead guilty, if they know they're going to get a curative discharge. But it also takes away completely the deterrent effect of the sentencing, because that's the biggest stick in the hands of the justice system: to take away the driving privilege and to give a person a criminal record.
