5 LE RELÈVEMENT DES FRANCHISES-VOYAGEURS. Increase in travellers' allowances The removal of restrictions on purchases by persons travelling within the single market as of 1 January 1993 was agreed by the Council in November 1989, despite a continuing reservation on the part of Denmark and subject to the tax rules applicable to purchases of cars and mail-order sales (application of the rates in force in the country of destination).
