Cependant, les déclarations très récentes du chef de l’État ukrainien, M. Leonid Kuchma, indiquant que Kiev donnait actuellement la priorité à sa participation à l’OMC et à l’OTAN plutôt à qu’à son adhésion à l’Union européenne, devraient permettre d’apaiser l’esprit de M. Elles.
However, very recent statements by the Ukrainian Head of State, Mr Leonid Kuchma, that Kiev is currently giving priority to membership of the WTO and NATO rather than to accession to the European Union, should serve to put Mr Elles' mind at rest.
