I would like to thank all the actors involved in the negotiations which started in March 2011 and which have not always been easy, in particular the rapporteur Mr Sánchez Presedo and the shadow rapporteurs Mr Schwab, Mr Pallone, Mr De Backer, Ms Ford, Mr Giegold as well as the Polish, Danish, Cypriot and Irish Presidencies.

- (EN) J’ai voté en faveur du rapport de Mme Lambert sur la sécurité sociale afin de marquer mon soutien à la rationalisation et à la simplification des textes existants sur le règlement (CE) n° 1408/71 ainsi qu’à l’accroissement de l’accessibilité de ceux-ci pour les citoyens européens et pour les personnes les utilisant quotidiennement.
I voted in favour of Mrs Lambert’s report on social security to signal my support for rationalising, simplifying and making the existing texts on Regulation (EC) No 1408/71 more accessible to the citizens of Europe and to those who are dealing with it on a daily basis.
