Je ne suis pas au courant du progrès des négociations sur l'initiative relative aux biens matrimoniaux menées par Wendy Grant dans tout le pays mais je crois qu'on pourrait probablement modifier la Loi sur les Indiens pour permettre à quelqu'un de continuer à vivre dans une maison et lui en donner l'autorisation légale, que ces personnes soient indiennes ou non, sans lui donner nécessairement l'intérêt relatif au CP lui-même.
I'm not as up-to-date on the progress of the consultations about the matrimonial real property initiative that Wendy Grant has been conducting across the country, but I think the Indian Act probably can be amended to enable someone to continue to live in a house and give them statutory permission to do that, whether or not they're an Indian, without necessarily granting them the interest in the CP itself.
