At times it makes us, as Newfoundlanders, feel less Canadian when we hear comments coming out of central Canada—especially by bureaucrats or some politicians—saying TAGS is a waste of money, that it's taxpayers' money that has gone down the drain, and here you have thousands and thousands of people from this province who have brought a great resource of the world into Canada when we joined Confederation and we turned it over to be managed for our own well-being and for the wealth of Canada and look what happened to it: it was totally destroyed.
