2. In Annex III to Decision 2000/585/EC footnote 8 in the health attestation in model A and footnote 7 in the health attestation in model F are replaced by: "Version Number referred to in the relevant and current Decision for fresh meat of the corresponding susceptible domestic species must be included however, in addition, in the case of Botswana until 8 February 2003, notwithstanding the outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease confirmed in the 'EC designated free' region of Botswana in February 2002, that part of the country may be regarded as being free of foot-and-mouth without vaccination for at least 12 months".

6. Lorsqu'une spécification européenne n'est pas encore disponible au moment de l'adoption d'une STI et que le respect de cette spécification est une condition sine qua non pour garantir l'interopérabilité, la STI peut faire référence à la version disponible la plus avancée du projet de spécification européenne qu'il faut respecter ou intègre en son sein tout ou partie de ce projet.
6. Where a European specification is not yet available at the time of adoption of a TSI and compliance with this specification is an essential precondition to guarantee interoperability, the TSI may refer to the most advanced version available of the draft European specification that has to be complied with or that incorporates all or part of that draft.

Le rapport a été adopté au cours de la plénière du mois de février 2000. La Commission européenne a en partie pris en compte l'avis du Parlement dans la version définitive des lignes directrices adressées aux États membres pour l'application de cette initiative communautaire.
