P. whereas common characteristics shared by marginalised communities include communities of places, such as marginalised communities living in rural areas and disadvantaged neighbourhoods; communities of interests, such as refugees and asylum seekers, and ethnic and linguistic minorities; and people with disabilities, elderly people, homeless as well as indigenous peoples; whereas different types of marginalised communities share common difficulties and all suffer from multiple forms of stigmatisation and discrimination;

9. condamne les actes de violence envers la communauté copte et la destruction d'un grand nombre d'églises, d'établissements et d'entreprises de cette communauté dans le pays; se déclare préoccupé par le fait que les autorités ont négligé de prendre suffisamment de mesures de sécurité pour protéger la communauté copte malgré les nombreux signes avant-coureurs; met en exergue le pluralisme historique de la société égyptienne et les traditions pluriséculaires de la communauté copte égyptienne; demande au gouvernement égyptien d'apporter son soutien à la communauté copte par tous les moyens possibles, de telle sorte que la communauté copte égyptienne puisse demeurer un élément important du tissu social égyptien et que soit restaurée à bref délai la coexistence pacifique avec les autres communautés religieuses du pays;
9. Condemns the violence against the Coptic community and the destruction of a large number of churches, community centres and businesses throughout the country; expresses concern that the authorities failed to take adequate security measures to protect the Coptic community in spite of many warnings; points to the historical pluralism of Egyptian society and the centuries-old tradition of the Egyptian Coptic community; asks the Egyptian Government to support the Coptic community in every possible way, so that the Egyptian Coptic community can continue to be an important part of Egypt’s social and economic fabric and that peaceful cohabitation with the other communities of Egypt can quickly be restored;

7. reconnaît qu'un pourcentage important des enfants pris en charge appartiennent à la communauté rom, et qu'une action plus efficace et plus résolue s'impose pour surmonter les barrières entre cette communauté et la société en général; considère que ce problème va au-delà de la discrimination et qu'il s'agit, en fait, d'un processus à sens double; prend donc acte du nouveau programme d'action du gouvernement en faveur des Rom, qui est doté d'une enveloppe budgétaire non négligeable; engage le gouvernement à persévérer dans son action visant à promouvoir l'intégration de la communauté rom dans la société bulgare; demande instamment aux autorités bulgares et à la Commission de cibler leurs efforts sur des programmes concrets de nature à apporter des améliorations sensibles, notamment en ce qui concerne l'éducation des femmes roms en matière de planification des naissances et de bien-être des enfants, ainsi que la connaissance de la langue bulgare parmi la communauté rom; se félicite de la pratique instaurée récemment consistant à recruter des Roms dans la police et invite le gouvernement à poursuivre dans cette voie; simultanément, demande aux représentants de la communauté rom de cerner les problèmes sociaux et structurels que présente le mode de vie de cette communauté et de participer à l'application de mesures tendant à apporter des changements au sein de la communauté pour faciliter l'intégration des Rom dans la société bulgare;
7. Recognises that a large proportion of the children in care are from the Roma community and that more effective and substantive action is required to overcome barriers between the Roma community and the wider society; recognises that this is more than a question of discrimination and is in fact a two way process; acknowledges therefore the government's new Roma action plan, which has a noteworthy budgetary allocation; encourages the government to persevere in its policy to promote the integration of the Roma community into wider Bulgarian society; urges the Bulgarian authorities and the Commission to target their efforts on practical schemes that can deliver substantive improvement, in particular in relation to the education of Roma women in family planning and problems of child welfare and also Bulgarian language competence in the Roma community; welcomes the recent practice of recruiting Roma to the police and calls on the government to persevere in this effort; at the same time calls on the representatives of the Roma community to identify social and structural problems in the Roma community's way of life and to assist in implementing measures to bring about change within the Roma community that will facilitate Roma integration into wider Bulgarian society;
