Au cours de la présidence grecque, une conférence euro-méditerranéenne à mi-parcours des ministres des affaires étrangères qui se tiendra en Crète les 26 et 27 mai 2003 sera l'occasion de faire le point sur les progrès effectués dans la mise en œuvre du plan d'action de Valence et de donner un nouveau souffle aux travaux du partenariat jusqu'à l'évaluation prévue pour la réunion ministérielle de Naples en décembre 2003. Cette conférence accueillera également les 8 pays candidats qui ne sont pas encore membres du processus de Barcelone et sera l'occasion de mener des discussions politiques sur la manière de renforcer le partenariat euro-méditerranéen à la suite de l'élargissement.

During the Greek Presidency a mid-term Euro-Mediterranean Conference of Foreign Ministers that will be held in Crete on 26/27 May 2003 will be an opportunity to take stock of the progress made in the implementation of the Valencia Action Plan and to give fresh impetus to the work of the partnership in the run-up to the evaluation scheduled for the Naples Ministerial meeting in December 2003.This Conference will also be attended by the 8 acceding States which are not yet members of the Barcelona Process and will provide an opportunity for political discussions of how the Euro-Mediterranean partnership will be enhanced following enlargement.
