30. souligne la grande nécessité de l'innovation et celle d'orienter l'investissement sur la croissance des résultats économiques et environnementaux; réclame davantage de projets financés ou coordonnés par l'UE auxquels les agriculteurs et les chercheurs puissent contribuer pour trouver des méthodes novatrices, d'un bout à l'autre de la chaîne alimentaire, pour assurer la compétitivité et la viabilité du secteur agricole;

Emphasises that there is a great need for innovation and that investment should be channelled towards the growth of economical and environmental performance; calls for more EU-funded and EU-coordinated projects in which farmers and researchers can work together to find innovative methods throughout the food chain which will ensure a competitive and, at the same time, sustainable agricultural sector;
