4. félicite la Comunidad Valenciana pour sa capacité à solliciter et à utiliser l'aide du FEM pour s'attaquer aux problèmes touchant son marché de l'emploi, qui se caractérise par un fort pourcentage de PME; rappelle, à cet égard, que la région de Valence a déjà sollicité l'aide du FEM à cinq reprises pour les secteurs du textile, de la céramique, de la pierre naturelle et de la construction (demandes EGF/2009/0014, EGF/2010/005 et EGF/2010/009, EGF/2011/006 et EGF/2013/004);
4. Congratulates Communidad Valenciana on the capacity to apply for and use EGF to address problems of its labour market characterised by a high percentage of SMEs; in this context recalls that Valenciana region has already applied for the EGF support on five instances for textile, ceramic and natural stone as well as construction sector (applications: EGF/2009/0014, EGF/2010/005 and EGF/2010/009, EGF/2011/006 and EGF/2013/004);

5. relève que la main-d'œuvre des chantiers navals en Europe a baissé de 23 % au cours des trois dernières années, passant de 148 792 travailleurs en 2007 à 114 491 travailleurs en 2010 selon le rapport annuel 2010-2011 de la Communauté des associations de chantiers navals européens (CESA), et que le Fonds a déjà été mobilisé à trois reprises dans le secteur des chantiers navals au cours des trois dernières années (EGF/2010/001 DK/Nordjylland , EGF/2010/006 PL/H. Cegielski-Poznan et EGF/2010/025 DK/Odense Steel Shipyard);
5. Notes that the shipbuilding workforce in Europe, in accordance with the Community of European Shipyards' Associations (CESA) annual report for 2010-2011 , has declined by 23 % over the past three years, from 148 792 workers in 2007 to 114 491 workers in 2010; and that EGF assistance has already been mobilised in three cases in the shipbuilding sector over the past three years (EGF/2010/001 DK/Nordjylland , EGF/2010/006 PL/H. Cegielski-Poznan and EGF/2010/025 DK/Odense Steel Shipyard);

Notes that the region of Comunidad Valenciana has been hit in the past by four mass dismissals and welcomes the fact that the region decided to use the EGF support to address those redundancies: EGF/2009/014 ES/Valencia - Ceramic industry, EGF/2010/005 ES/Valencia - Stone marble, EGF/2010/009 ES/Valencia - Textile sector, EGF/2011/006 ES/Comunidad Valenciana - Construction sector; welcomes the fact that the region is building on the experience with the EGF and has quickly assisted workers in several sectors;

Notes that this is the fourth EGF application addressing the layoffs in the wind turbine industry, all of them from Denmark and the third application concerning Vestas group (EGF/2010/003 DK/Vestas, EGF/2010/017 DK Midtjylland Machinery, EGF/2010/022 DK/LM Glasfiber, EGF, EGF/2012/003 DK/Vestas);
