Le 10 avril 2012, après que M. Ziobro eut saisi la justice de l'entretien accordé par M. Balazs, ce dernier a déposé un acte d'accusation civil réciproque auprès de la V chambre pénale du tribunal régional de Varsovie Śródmieście, estimant que, par ses déclarations, M. Ziobro avait cherché à nuire à son image auprès de l'opinion publique et à saper la confiance dans sa capacité à mener des activités politiques ou à exercer des fonctions publiques, notamment au niveau national.
On 10 April 2012, after Mr Ziobro brought the case of Mr Balazs’s interview before a court, Mr Balazs submitted a private counterclaim to the District Court for Warsaw City Centre, V Criminal Department, on the ground that, by the above statement, Mr Ziobro acted in a manner likely to discredit him in the eyes of public opinion or result in loss of confidence in his ability to carry out political activities or to hold public office, including at national level.
