J’ajouterai toutefois que cette politique de l’impuissance est en fait une stratégie délibérée choisie depuis Maastricht, depuis 1992, laquelle s’articule grosso modo sur trois axes: la réforme structurelle des marchés - comme on l’appelle dans notre jargon -, la réduction des déficits publics et un comportement axé sur la conquête des marchés extérieurs.
I would add, however, that the politics of powerlessness is in fact a deliberate strategy chosen since Maastricht, since 1992, which is broadly based on three axes: the structural reform of the markets – as we call it in our jargon – the reduction of public deficit and the focus on conquering external markets.
