As regards Iceland and Norway, this [INSTRUMENT] constitutes a development of the provisions of the Schengen acquis within the meaning of the Agreement concluded by the Council of the European Union and the Republic of Iceland and the Kingdom of Norway concerning the latters' association with the implementation, application and development of the Schengen acquis* which fall within the area referred to in Article 1, point [...], of Council Decision 1999/437/EC of 17 May 1999 on certain arrangements for the application of that Agreement**.

L’omission, par l’ancien combattant, de rembourser le montant dudit paiement, sur demande formelle, constitue un défaut justifiant la résiliation prévue par l’article 22.
(2) Where no agreement is entered into under subsection (1) between the veteran and the Director and the veteran fails or neglects to pay any lawful rates, taxes or assessments due in respect of property in which the Director has under this Act any interest, the Director may pay such rates, taxes or assessments and all moneys so expended by the Director shall be repaid by the veteran on demand with interest computed from the time of such payment by the Director at the rate or rates in effect for the purpose of this subsection at that time, and until so repaid the amount of such payment shall be added to the sale price of or amount outstanding on such property or shall become a part of the principal secured by any charge, mortgage or hypothec in favour of the Director, as the case may be; failure of the veteran to repay the amount of such payment on demand constitutes a default warranting rescission under section 22.

11. L’ancien combattant consent et s’engage à acquitter ponctuellement et régulièrement les contributions, cotisations et impôts, qui ont été ou peuvent être levés ou imposés sur ledit bien-fonds et les améliorations qui s’y trouvent ou à leur sujet, pour l’année en cours et pour chaque année subséquente pendant la durée de la présente convention, et à en transmettre les reçus au Directeur avant le 31 jour de décembre de chaque année. L’ancien combattant convient que, s’il omet ou néglige de payer, à la date d’échéance, n’importe quelle partie desdites contributions ou cotisations ou desdits impôts requis par la Loi, le Directeur pourra payer tout arrérage desdites contributions ou cotisations, ou desdits impôts, et tout l’argent ainsi dépensé par le Directeur devra lui être remboursé par l’ancien combattant, sur demande, avec intérêt calculé au taux de par année, à compter de la date où le Directeur aura effectué tel paiement et, jusqu’à ce que l’ancien combattant l’ait remboursé, ce montant sera ajouté au prix d’achat dudit bien-fonds.
11. The Veteran covenants and agrees to pay punctually and regularly all rates, taxes and assessments that have been or may be levied or imposed upon or in respect of the said land or improvements thereon for the current year, and each subsequent year during the continuance of this Agreement, and to deliver the receipts for same to the Director prior to the 31st day of December in each year, and if the Veteran fails or neglects to pay any such lawful rates, taxes or assessments by the date on which such rates, taxes or assessments fall due, that the Director may pay any arrears of such rates, taxes or assessments and all moneys so expended by the Director shall be repaid by the Veteran on demand with interest at the rate ofper annum from the time of such payment by the Director and until so repaid the amount of such payment shall be added to the purchase price of the said land.

10. 10. A contributor who has service for which he made contributions under any Part of the Act, the Civil Service Superannuation Act, the Public Service Superannuation Act or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act (other than Part IV thereof) and has been paid a benefit, in respect of that service, equal only to the amount of his total contributions may elect to count that service and the contributions required shall be the same as if section 11 were applicable.

(4) Sur réception du certificat du ministre attestant que l’état mentionné au paragraphe (1), ou tout autre renseignement demandé par le ministre aux fins dudit paragraphe, a été reçu et que le montant de la contribution a été établi, il doit être versé à la province un montant égal à la contribution ainsi établie, moins le total des avances sur ladite contribution versées à la province conformément à l’article 14.
(4) Upon the certificate of the Minister that the statement referred to in subsection (1) or such further information as the Minister may have requested for the purpose referred to in that subsection has been received and that the amount of the contribution has been determined, an amount equal to the amount of the contribution so determined, less the total of any advances pursuant to section 14 paid to the province on account of such contribution, shall be paid to the province.

Lorsque le parti politique européen n'est plus inscrit dans le registre mentionné à l'article 6 du règlement (UE) n° [...] ou a fait l'objet de l'une des sanctions prévues à l'article 22 dudit règlement, l'ordonnateur compétent peut, conformément aux procédures fixées à l'article 7 dudit règlement, suspendre, réduire ou supprimer la contribution et recouvrer les montants indûment versés dans le cadre de l'accord ou de la décision de contribution, proportionnellement à la gravité des erreurs, irrégularités, fraudes ou autres infractions aux obligations liées à l'utilisation de la contribution, après que le parti politique a eu la possibilité de présenter ses observations.
5. Where the European political party is no longer registered in the Registry referred to in Article 6 of Regulation (EU) No [..] or has been the subject of any of the penalties provided for in Article 22 of that Regulation, the authorising officer responsible may, in accordance with the procedures laid down in Article 7 of that Regulation, suspend, reduce or terminate the contribution and recover amounts unduly paid under the contribution agreement or decision, in proportion to the seriousness of the errors, irregularities, fraud or other breach of obligations related to the use of contribution, after the political party has been given the opportunity to present its observations.
