This Directive establishes rules on information to be provided for distance contracts, off-premises contracts and contracts other than distance and off-premises contracts.

The definition of an off-premises contract should also include situations where the consumer is personally and individually addressed in an off-premises context but the contract is concluded immediately afterwards on the business premises of the trader or through a means of distance communication.

Sans préjudice de l’article 15 de la directive 2008/48/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 23 avril 2008 concernant les contrats de crédit aux consommateurs , l’exercice par le consommateur de son droit de rétractation d’un contrat à distance ou d’un contrat hors établissement conformément aux articles 9 à 14 de la présente directive a pour effet de mettre automatiquement fin à tout contrat accessoire, sans frais pour le consommateur, à l’exception de ceux prévus à l’article 13, paragraphe 2, et à l’article 14 de la présente directive.
1. Without prejudice to Article 15 of Directive 2008/48/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 April 2008 on credit agreements for consumers , if the consumer exercises his right of withdrawal from a distance or an off-premises contract in accordance with Articles 9 to 14 of this Directive, any ancillary contracts shall be automatically terminated, without any costs for the consumer, except as provided for in Article 13(2) and in Article 14 of this Directive.
