The applicant replied to this letter on 20 June 2002, pointing out that the sum of approximately EUR 200 000 seized by the French authorities came entirely from the Parliament, that the current account from which it had been withdrawn received only payments from the Parliament and that its release was an essential prerequisite for meeting his obligations towards the Parliament, if such a liability were proven.
