Following the meeting with motor industry heads on 14 June, Mrs Edith Cresson, Commissioner responsible for research, education and training, and Mr Martin Bangemann, Commissioner responsible for industrial affairs, telecommunications and information technologies, are due to meet about 40 representatives from the European multimedia industry (see attached list) in Brussels at 15.00 on Wednesday 13 September to discuss ways of developing a European industry in multimedia education and training programmes, which is also the main aim of the Educational Multimedia Software Task Force set up by the two Commissioners to carry out joint industrial projects in this field.

Quelques jours après avoir donné le coup d'envoi des six task forces recherche/industrie (voir note IP 95/540), Mme Edith CRESSON, commissaire en charge de la recherche, de l'éducation et de la formation, et M. Martin BANGEMANN, commissaire aux affaires industrielles, aux télécommunications et aux technologies de l'information, rencontreront, au cours d'un déjeuner mercredi 14 juin à Strasbourg, les acteurs intéressés par le développement de la "voiture de demain" : constructeurs automobiles (dont plusieurs PDG), mais aussi équipementiers, producteurs d'électricité et de gaz, électroniciens et utilisateurs notamment.
Following the setting up of six task forces for research and industry a few days ago (see IP 95/540), Mrs Edith Cresson, responsible for research, education and training, and Mr Martin Bangemann, responsible for industry, telecommunications and information technologies, will meet the people concerned with the development of "the car of the future" - vehicle manufacturers, including several company directors, as well as original equipment manufacturers, producers of gas and electricity, electronics manufacturers and in particular users - during a lunch to be given on Wednesday 14 June in Strasbourg.
