Mr President, I wish to make it quite clear, since most of us are citizens of the Spanish State - that we are not judging the Constitution on the basis of our State Government’s potential power of veto and that we do not share the stubbornness of the current Prime Minister, José Maria Aznar, who distinguishes himself now and then by his talent for making enemies and by obstructing the solution to all problems.

Et sans aucun doute, nous autres Espagnols partageons, où que nous soyons, cette vision d'avenir que le Président Aznar a accomplie et continuera d'accomplir, fidèle à ce qu'il a promis aux Espagnols et aux Européens nés dans notre beau pays.
There is no doubt that we Spanish, wherever we are, share that vision of the future which President Aznar is continuing to make real, fulfilling the promise he made to the Spanish people, to the European citizens born in our beautiful country.
