2. Un État membre peut choisir de ne pas imputer sur l’effort de pêche maximal autorisé disponible, quel qu’il soit, l’activité d’un navire de pêche effectuant des opérations non liées à la pêche dans une zone géographique relevant d’un régime de gestion de l’effort de pêche, à condition que ce navire de pêche notifie au préalable à l’État membre de son pavillon son intention d’effectuer de telles opérations ainsi que la nature de ces dernières et qu’il remette son autorisation de pêche au cours de cette période, pendant laquelle il ne peut détenir à bord ni engin de pêche ni poisson.
