Mr. Speaker, I listened carefully to the remarks of my hon. colleague from the Liberal Party and I would like to hear him on something that happened in December 2006, when the Conservative Party admitted having omitted to disclose to the Chief Electoral Officer hundreds of thousands of dollars that it had received.

La Commission vient de nous lire un long papier sur tout ce qu’elle a déjà fait, mais je dois dire que ces dernières années, depuis que je suis rapporteure sur la situation de l’apiculture - depuis 1994 -, elle se fait trop tirer les oreilles pour agir lorsque je m’acharne avec mes collègues à attirer son attention sur cette situation alarmante, amplement connue et parfaitement décrite, notamment par mon collègue Parish.
The Commission has just read to us a long paper about what it has already done, but I have to say that, in recent years, whilst I have been rapporteur on the apiculture situation – since 1994 – it has needed a lot of persuading to act, whilst with my colleagues I have strived to draw its attention to this alarming situation, which is widely known and which has been perfectly described, especially by my colleague, Mr Parish.

Busquin étant président, organise une manifestation importante au cours de la semaine à Strasbourg de juin, appelée STOA Experience .
Through this speech tonight, I would like to draw to the attention of all my colleagues the fact that the Parliament’s own Science and Technology Assessment Unit, of which I am privileged to be Vice-President, with my colleague Mr Busquin as President, is holding a major event in the June Strasbourg week, called the STOA Experience.
