Je trouve qu'il s'agit d'un amendement très réfléchi et opportun qui reflète très justement certaines des préoccupations qui nous ont été exposées par des témoins : il s'agit de reconnaître l'autorité des dirigeants des premières nations légitimement élus et choisis et de veiller à ce que cette autorité soit citée de façon spécifique au moins quelque part dans le document qui nous occupe.
I think it's a thoughtful and timely amendment that accurately reflects some of the concerns brought to us by presenters who were witnesses to the committee: to make reference to the authority of the legitimately elected and selected leadership of first nations being acknowledged and recognized and to see that authority cited specifically at least somewhere in this document.
