2. Inspections by the Commission in 2003-2005 The Commission's on-the-spot inspections are based on a precise methodology to check that procedures are consistent with Community standards.

Étant donné que les conclusions du rapport d’évaluation ont mis en évidence l’existence d’un risque d’exposition humaine indirecte par la consommation de denrées alimentaires du fait des utilisations prises en considération dans ledit rapport, il convient d’exiger, le cas échéant, que soit vérifiée la nécessité de fixer de nouvelles limites maximales de résidus ou de modifier celles existantes, conformément au règlement (CE) no 470/2009 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 6 mai 2009 établissant des procédures communautaires pour la fixation des limites de résidus des substances pharmacologiquement actives dans les aliments d’origine animale, abrogeant le règlement (CEE) no 2377/90 du Conseil et modifiant la directive 2001/82/CE du Parlement européen et du Conseil et le règlement (CE) no 726/2004 du Parlement européen et du Conseil (4) ou au règlement (CE) no 396/2005 du Parlement européen et du Conseil du 23 février 2005 concernant les limites maximales applicables aux résidus de pesticides présents dans ou sur les denrées alimentaires et les aliments pour animaux d’origine végétale et animale et modifiant la directive 91/414/CEE du Conseil (5).
In the light of the findings in the assessment report that there is a possible indirect human exposure via consumption of food as a result of those uses represented in the assessment, it is appropriate to require, where relevant, verification of the need to set new or to amend existing maximum residue levels in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 470/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 May 2009 laying down Community procedures for the establishment of residue limits of pharmacologically active substances in foodstuffs of animal origin, repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 2377/90 and amending Directive 2001/82/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Regulation (EC) No 726/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council (4) or with Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 February 2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food and feed of plant and animal origin and amending Council Directive 91/414/EEC (5).
