Calls on the Commission fully to use the existing Community funds (notably the European Social Fund) on issues related to health and safety (prevention and development of a prevention culture, awareness raising, vocational training, lifelong learning, rehabilitation and reintegration of workers having suffered from an occupational accident or disease) and addressed in particular to SMEs; calls on the Commission to allocate other Community funds (for example funds from the 7th Framework Programme on Research) and national funds to research on occupational diseases;
29. verzoekt de Commissie volledig gebruik te maken van de bestaande Gemeenschapsfondsen (met name het Europees Sociaal Fonds) waar het zaken betreft die met gezondheid en veiligheid samenhangen (preventie en de ontwikkeling van een preventiecultuur, bewustmaking, beroepsopleiding, levenslang leren, rehabilitatie en re-integratie van werknemers na een arbeidsongeval of -ziekte) en die in het bijzonder gericht zijn op KMO's; verzoekt de Commissie andere Gemeenschapsfondsen (bijvoorbeeld uit het zevende kaderprogramma voor onderzoek) en nationale fondsen aan te wenden aan onderzoek op het gebied van beroepsziekten;
