IN-CONTEXT TRANSLATIONS

The position to be adopted by the European Union within the Association Council, set up by the Agreement establishing an Association between the European Union and its Member States, on the one part, and Central America, on the other part, as regards the adoption of the Rules of Procedure of the Association Council and those of the Association Committee, the Rules of Procedure governing Dispute Settlement under Title X and the Code of Conduct for members of panels and mediators, the list of panellists as well as the list of Trade and Sustainable Development experts shall be based on the draft decisions of the Association Council annexed to this Decision.

2. The Association Committee shall prepare the meetings and the deliberations of the Association Council (1), implement the decisions of the Association Council where appropriate and, in general, ensure continuity of the association relationship and the proper functioning of the Agreement.
2. Het Associatiecomité bereidt de vergaderingen en de beraadslagingen van de Associatieraad voor (1), voert in voorkomend geval de besluiten van de Associatieraad uit, en draagt in het algemeen zorg voor continuïteit in de associatiebetrekkingen en de goede werking van de overeenkomst.

3. The meetings of the Association Council shall be jointly convened by the Secretaries of the Association Council, in agreement with the Chair of the Association Council.

1. The position to be taken by the Community within the Association Council and the Association Committee established by the Association Agreement shall be adopted by the Council, on a proposal from the Commission, in accordance with the corresponding provisions of the Treaty.

3. The Community shall be represented by a representative of the Commission in the Special Committees established by the Association Agreement or set up by the Association Council in accordance with Article 7 thereof.

(21) Community education, training and youth programmes are open to the countries of the European Free Trade Association participating in the European Economic Area and the associated countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CCEE), in accordance with the conditions set out in the Europe Agreements, in their additional protocols and in the decisions of the relevant Association Councils, and to Cyprus, Malta and Turkey.
(21) Aan de communautaire programma's inzake onderwijs, beroepsopleiding en jeugd kan worden deelgenomen door de lidstaten van de Europese Vrijhandelsassociatie die deelnemen aan de Europese Economische Ruimte en door de landen van Midden en Oost-Europa (LMOE), overeenkomstig de voorwaarden die zijn vastgesteld in de Europaovereenkomsten, in de aanvullende protocollen daarbij en in de besluiten van de respectieve associatieraden, door Cyprus, alsmede door Malta en door Turkije.

5. The Association Parliamentary Committee may request of the Association Council relevant information regarding the implementation of this Agreement, and the Association Council shall supply the Committee with the requested information.
5. Het Parlementair Associatiecomité kan de Associatieraad om relevante inlichtingen over de tenuitvoerlegging van de overeenkomst verzoeken, en de Associatieraad verstrekt het Parlementair Associatiecomité de gevraagde informatie.
