September 2007 der Kommission an den SEC zu den „Proposed Rules on acceptance from foreign private issuers of financial statements prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards without reconciliation to US GAAP' as well as its resolution on the same issue underlining notably that 'A decision by the Commission will imply, in all cases, the right for EU issuers to use, in any third country, IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) as endorsed by the European Union“ vorgeschlagenen Regelungen über die Anerkennung von Jahresabschlüssen, die von ausländischen Privatfirmen gemäß den internationalen Rechnungslegungsstandards ohne Abstimmung mit den allgemeinen anerkannten Buchführungsgrundsätzen der USA (GAAP) erstellt werden, sowie seine Entschließung zum selben Thema, in der insbesondere betont wird, dass „die Entscheidung der Kommission . in jedem Fall für Emittenten aus der Europäischen Union das Recht umfassen [wird], in jedem Drittland die in der Europäischen Union angenommenen IFRS zu verwenden“;
15. ondersteunt de benadering zoals uiteengezet in Verordening (EG) nr. 1569/2007 van de Commissie van 21 december 2007, waarbij ter uitvoering van de Richtlijnen 2003/71/EG en 2004/109/EG van het Europees Parlement en de Raad een mechanisme wordt vastgesteld voor het nemen van een besluit over de gelijkwaardigheid van standaarden voor jaarrekeningen die door effecten uitgevende instellingen van derde landen worden toegepast en die blijkt uit de geest van de brief van 26 september 2008 van de Commissie aan de SEC over "Voorgestelde regelingen inzake de aanvaarding van financiële verklaringen van buitenlandse particuliere effecten uitgevende instellingen, opgesteld overeenkomstig internationale financiële verslagleggingsnormen die los staan van de algemeen aanvaarde boekhoudpraktijk van de VS" en zijn resolutie over hetzelfde onderwerp waarin met name het volgende wordt onderstreept "Het besluit van de Commissie moet er in alle gevallen in resulteren dat communautaire uitgevende instellingen in alle derde landen door de Europese Unie goedgekeurde IFRS (Internationale financiële verslagleggingsnormen) kunnen gebruiken;
