I would very much appreciate the government side holding it back until then because I have been told by those who are involved in the issue that there are discussions going on between First Nations' representatives and high-level policy makers at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada in search of an amicable resolution that will speak to the people and be appropriate for the way they interpret and live their culture, which may differ from community to community.
J'apprécierais énormément que le gouvernement le retarde jusque-là, car ceux qui travaillent à ce dossier m'ont dit que des pourparlers ont lieu entre des du ministère des Premières nations et des décideurs de haut niveau des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien afin de trouver un arrangement à l'amiable que les gens comprennent et qui soit adapté à la façon dont ils vivent et interprètent leur culture, ce qui peut varier selon les collectivités.
