Commissioner Liikanen, reaffirming his personal commitment to supporting entrepreneurship by women in Europe, will meet representatives from national administrations (WES "European Network to Promote Women Entrepreneurship"), business organisations of women entrepreneurs (Eurochambres Women's Network, FCEM "Fédération des Chef d'Entreprises Mondiales" and FEM, the Women entrepreneurs' organisation of UEAPME), and from other EU institutions to celebrate International Women's Day under the slogan "Enterprising Women". He will present the results of the activities carried out by the Enterprise Directorate-General to promote the establishment and growth of women-led businesses, in particular the report "Promoting entrepreneurship amongst women" and the initiatives supporting entrepreneurship among European women set out in the "Entrepreneurship Action Plan", recently adopted by the Commission.
