The individual was a professional going to take up a position in a small community, and we offered to provide a telehealth follow-up rather than trying to orchestrate a visit back to St. John's. Because of stigma, the individual would not take a booking at the local telehealth centre to talk to a psychiatrist in St. John's. However, since the follow-up was being provided by one of our students, who tried to go ahead and make the booking and to say, " An appointment is available at this date and this time," we discovered that the cost for the link-up would be about $240, and nobody was available to pay that bill.
