Another important action already underway which will be contributing to eEurope 2005 is to improve the use of telematics in the community pharmaceutical regulatory system (e.g. Eudravigilance for safety of medicines, Europharm Database or e-submission for information exchange between regulatory authorities and industry) which is expected to deliver first results by end 2003. eEurope offers the possibility to combine efforts into a strategy to deliver visible results at the end of the action plan.

In the course of the formal investigation procedure the Commission received comments from the complainant as well as from several interested parties, amongst them a substantial submission by the Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie (hereinafter ‘BPI’) and submissions by pharmaceutical companies that were either granted an exemption under the scheme or had applied for such an exemption.
Au cours de la procédure formelle d'examen, la Commission a reçu des observations du plaignant, ainsi que de plusieurs parties intéressées, et notamment une communication détaillée de l'association fédérale de l'industrie pharmaceutique (Bundesverband der Pharmazeutischen Industrie, ci-après la «BPI») et des communications d'entreprises pharmaceutiques auxquelles une dérogation avait été accordée dans le cadre du régime en cause ou qui avaient demandé une telle dérogation.

As stated above, in addition to the submissions by the complainant and the BPI, the Commission received comments by 9 pharmaceutical companies.
Comme indiqué précédemment, la Commission a reçu, en plus des contributions du plaignant et de la BPI, des observations de neuf entreprises pharmaceutiques.

Reminds that the Court of Auditors reported a high level of carryovers for the financial year 2010 as well as a lack of compliance with the budgetary principle of annuality; welcomes the fact that the Agency has strengthened its procedures of fee revenue forecasting by creating a team which analyses, in close cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry, the status of pharmaceutical product research before submission to the Agency; notes the Agency's firm commitment to work with Directorate General Budget of the Commission in order to achieve a stable framework with the current revision of the Framework Financial Regulations;
3. rappelle que la Cour des comptes a identifié un niveau élevé de reports pour l'exercice 2010 ainsi qu'un non-respect du principe budgétaire d'annualité; se félicite de ce que l'Agence ait renforcé ses procédures de prévision des recettes tirées des redevances en mettant en place une équipe chargée d'analyser, en collaboration étroite avec l'industrie pharmaceutique, l'état d'avancement de la recherche sur un produit pharmaceutique avant la présentation à l'Agence; prend acte de l'engagement ferme pris par l'Agence de collaborer avec la direction générale du budget de la Commission afin d'obtenir que la révision en cours du règlement financier-cadre aboutisse à un cadre stable;

The Management Board shall, in the case of veterinary medicinal products which have limited markets, or in the case of human and veterinary medicinal products intended for diseases with a regional distribution, adopt the necessary administrative measures to provide help to small and medium-sized pharmaceutical companies at the time of submission of their applications These administrative measures shall include, in particular, the responsibility for translations being taken over by the Agency.
Le conseil d'administration adopte des mesures administratives afin d'aider les firmes pharmaceutiques de petite et moyenne dimension lors du dépôt de leurs demandes en cas de marché limité ou, dans le cadre des médicaments à usage humain et des médicaments vétérinaires, de médicaments destinés à des maladies à distribution régionale.
