Where the Commission finds that a notified concentration falls within the scope of this Regulation, it shall publish the fact of the notification, at the same time indicating the names of the undertakings concerned, their country of origin, the nature of the concentration and the economic sectors involved.

Otherwise, starting from the second stage, so as to provide full but simple information the Presidency's compromise provides for three additional options as an alternative to this rule, namely: (a) the possible indication "Origin: [name of Member State]" for beef derived from animals born, raised and slaughtered in the same Member State; (b) the indication "Origin: [name of the third country or third countries]" or "Origin: non-EC" for beef derived from animals born, raised and slaughtered in one or more third country and (c) the indication "Origin: [name of third country]" when the meat is derived from animals born, raised and slaughtered in the same third country.
