Since 2011, the Commission and Parliament have jointly operated a public register for interest representatives, aiming to increase the transparency and accountability of the EU decision-making process.

Where a person invokes a right in rem to which he or she is entitled under the law applicable to the property regime of the registered partnership and the law of the Member State in which that right is invoked does not know the right in rem in question, that right shall, if necessary and to the extent possible, be adapted to the closest equivalent right in rem under the law of that State, taking into account the aims and the interests pursued by the specific right in rem and the effects attached to it (Corresponds to Article 31 of Regulation (EU) No 650/2012 and AM 67 of the report in 2011/0059(CNS)).

Invites the Commission to establish a public register of NGO-type bodies funded by Commission services, to harmonise its various databases on beneficiaries receiving funds from the EU budget or the European Development Fund, to indicate in its accounting system the 'not-for-profit" nature of the beneficiary entities and to look into the possibility of expanding the register of interest representatives by including information about their funding received from the EU;
246. invite la Commission à établir un registre public des organisations de type ONG financées par les services de la Commission, à harmoniser ses diverses bases de données de bénéficiaires des fonds du budget de l'Union européenne ou du FED, à indiquer dans sa comptabilité le caractère "à but non lucratif" des entités bénéficiaires et à envisager la possibilité d'étendre le registre des représentants d'intérêts en incluant des informations sur les fonds qu'ils reçoivent de l'Union européenne;

The Meeting of the Parties shall facilitate the exchange of information on the experience gained in reporting transfers using the pollutant-specific and waste-specific approaches, and shall review that experience in order to investigate the possibility of convergence between the two approaches, taking into account the public interest in information in accordance with Article 1 and the overall effectiveness of national pollutant release and transfer registers.
3. La réunion des parties facilite l'échange de données sur l'expérience acquise en matière de notification des transferts selon l'approche par polluant ou l'approche par déchet et examine ces données afin d'étudier la possibilité de faire converger ces deux approches compte tenu de l'intérêt que présente l'information pour le public, conformément à l'article premier, et de l'efficacité générale des registres nationaux des rejets et des transferts de polluants.
