On my part, I also brought forward Motion No. 154 to this effect in the House, calling on Industry Canada to change the current regulations so that telecommunications companies seeking to install cellphone towers must have municipal consultation regarding all towers being installed, and public consultation regarding those within 500 metres of any tower being installed.
Pour ma part, j'ai présenté à la Chambre à cet égard la motion M-154, dans laquelle je demande à Industrie Canada de modifier la réglementation en vigueur pour que les sociétés de télécommunications voulant installer des tours de téléphonie cellulaire soient tenues de consulter les municipalités pour toutes les tours à installer et de consulter la population habitant dans un rayon de 500 mètres de toute tour à installer.
