The Commission has decided to initiate a state aids inquiry procedure concerning a proposal by the Brussels Regional Authorities to provide aid in support of six investment projects being undertaken by Volkswagen Bruxelles S.A. Despite the fact that individually the projects do not exceed the prior notification threshold of 12 MECU set out in the Community Framework for State aids in the motor vehicle industry, the Commission considers that the six projects form part of one larger investment project.
