Santer, and Mr. H. van den Broek, the member of the European Commission responsible for relations with the Council of Europe, to the good working relations between the European Commission and the Council of Europe and all participants expressed their recognition for the excellent contributions made by Mr. D. Tarschys, during his five-year term of office as Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
