Emphasises that about 500 000 Roma were murdered during the Nazi occupation of Europe in the Second World War and many others were victims of atrocities and deportation to concentration camps; suggests that the EU Roma inclusion strategy should also promote initiatives to keep the public memory of these crimes against humanity alive in the spirit of anti-fascism, and to support Roma survivors, who very often received humiliatingly small compensation for those crimes;
