This is the oral amendment as agreed: ‘Notes the announcement of new presidential elections by the junta, but deplores the failure – contrary to the position of the 2005-2007 junta – of a commitment to neutrality; calls on the military in power to commit themselves forthwith to a timetable for the restoration of the democratic institutions, in cooperation with the political forces’.
Voici donc cet amendement: «prend note de l'annonce, par la junte militaire, de nouvelles élections présidentielles, mais déplore que, contrairement à la junte au pouvoir de 2005 à 2007, aucun engagement de neutralité n'ait été pris; demande aux forces militaires au pouvoir de s'engager sans délai sur un calendrier de restauration des institutions démocratiques, en concertation avec l'ensemble des forces politiques».
