(3) Subject to the approval of the Board, where a company provides for a loss in accordance with this section and the separately incorporated company makes a profit in a subsequent year, the controlling company shall adjust the allowance for losses recorded in account 126 (Allowance for Loss in Value of Investments) by debiting the amount of the profit to that account and concurrently crediting account 326 (Provision for Loss in Valuation of Investments) unless the profit is material, in which case it shall be credited to account 331 (Extraordinary Income).
(3) Sous réserve de l’approbation de l’Office, lorsque la société pourvoit à une perte selon le présent article et que la filiale constituée séparément réalise un profit au cours d’une année subséquente, la société qui détient le contrôle doit redresser la provision pour perte inscrite au compte 126 (Provision pour perte de valeur des placements), en portant concurremment le montant du profit au débit de ce compte et au crédit du compte 326 (Réserve en cas de dévalorisation des placements), à moins que le profit ne soit important, auquel cas elle doit le porter au crédit du compte 331 (Revenus extraordinaires).
