Where institutions authorised in two or more Member States have as their parent the same parent financial holding company, the same parent mixed financial holding company in a Member State, the same EU parent financial holding company or the same EU parent mixed financial holding company, supervision on a consolidated basis shall be exercised by the competent authorities of the institution authorised in the Member State in which the financial holding company or mixed financial holding company was set up.
3. Where more than one credit institution authorised in the Union has as its parent the same financial holding company or the same mixed financial holding company and none of those credit institutions has been authorised in the Member State in which the financial holding company or the mixed financial holding company is established, supervision on a consolidated basis shall be exercised by the competent authority that authorised the credit institution with the largest balance sheet total, which shall be considered, for the purposes of this Directive, as the credit institution controlled by an EU parent financial holding company or an EU parent mixed financial holding company.

8. Takes the view that the full demilitarisation of, and a reduction in the number of weapons in, the conflict area, with the exception of the OSCE joint peacekeeping force, is a fundamental element of conflict prevention and a first essential step towards further confidence-building measures; therefore calls on Russia to refrain from holding military exercises and displaying any kind of military force in close proximity to Georgia's territorial waters;
8. estime que la démilitarisation complète et une réduction de la quantité d'armes dans la zone de conflit, exception faite de la force commune de maintien de la paix de l'OSCE, sont un élément fondamental de la prévention des conflits et un premier pas indispensable sur la voie de nouvelles mesures renforçant la confiance; invite dès lors la Russie à s'abstenir d'organiser des exercices militaires et de déployer toute espèce de force militaire à proximité immédiate des eaux territoriales de Géorgie;

(c) the operations referred to in paragraph 1(b) are carried out by the financial holding companies referred to in Article 5(3) of Fourth Council Directive 78/660/EEC of 25 July 1978 based on Article 54(3)(g) of the Treaty on the annual accounts of certain types of companies(6) provided however that the voting rights in respect of the holding are exercised, in particular in relation to the appointment of members of the management and supervisory bodies of the undertakings in which they have holdings, only to maintain the full value of those investments and not to determine directly or indirectly the competitive conduct of those undertakings.
