If it were not for the responsible study of Bill C-2 that took place in the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Committee of the Senate, the government would not have had the opportunity to put forth 47 amendments of their own to a bill that Minister Baird earlier claimed had been examined under a microscope by his colleagues in the other place.
