In Portugal, the EIB signed last November an innovative Portfolio State Guarantee providing for a lending envelope of up to EUR 6 billion over the next few years.
En novembre dernier, la BEI et le Portugal ont signé un accord innovant portant sur une garantie d’État pour un portefeuille de prêts de 6 milliards d’EUR au maximum répartie sur les prochaines années.

The signature of the Portfolio State Guarantee follows an agreement signed in July 2012 to foster cooperation between Portuguese Republic and the EIB through different schemes for co-financing or guarantee new EIB facilities, involving, notably, the State and Structural Funds.
La signature de la garantie d’État s’inscrit dans le prolongement d’un accord conclu en juillet 2012 et dont l’objectif consiste à favoriser la coopération entre les autorités portugaises et la BEI au travers de différents dispositifs de cofinancement ou de garantie des nouveaux mécanismes de la BEI, faisant intervenir, notamment, l’État et les Fonds structurels.
