Contrary to the impression – one that should not be given – that we are extending rules that are fundamentally wrong and unworkable, this arrangement with Croatia is one that will be good for the environment not only in Austria, but also throughout Europe, for these environmental effects make themselves felt not only in the Austrian Alps, but in Europe as a whole, and so I thank the Commission for its support, and we will, tomorrow, as a group, be voting to approve these rules.
Contrairement à l’idée - que d’aucuns pourraient avoir - selon laquelle on étend une réglementation fondamentalement erronée et impraticable, cet accord conclu avec la Croatie sera également bon pour l’environnement, non seulement en Autriche mais aussi dans toute l’Europe. En effet, cet impact sur l’environnement ne se fait pas seulement sentir dans les Alpes autrichiennes mais dans toute l’Europe. C’est la raison pour laquelle je sais gré à la Commission pour son soutien et notre groupe approuvera demain cette réglementation.
