The results showed that the Member States: (i) are not aware of any cross-border problems related to the implementation of the Directive (which does not have a significant cross-border dimension); (ii) widely make use of the derogations provided by the Directive (i.e. the exemption for services, sales by auction and sales of works of art and antiques and the temporary derogation to apply the Directive to small businesses); (iii) support minimum harmonisation in this field (more than 10 Member States have introduced or maintained national rules providing a higher level of consumer protection as regards the price indication).
