Two other members, Petro-Canada and Shell, have been, for quite some time, major shareholders in Iogen, which we believe is the Canadian and world leader in developing ethanol from biomass technology, which could be commercialized pretty soon.
Même si notre principale mission consiste à représenter l’industrie canadienne du raffinage et de la commercialisation, il convient de noter que deux des sociétés membres de l’ICPP, Suncor et Husky, sont de grands producteurs d’éthanol et que deux autres, Shell et Petro-Canada, sont d’importants actionnaires de la compagnie Iogen qui est à notre avis le chef de file canadien et mondial de la production d’éthanol à partir de la biomasse, produit qui pourrait être commercialisé dans peu de temps.
