The Iberian peninsula, in particular the region of Galicia, has once again suffered a wave of forest fires this summer. They destroyed thousands of hectares of woodland and vegetation, livestock, vineyards, market gardens, houses and farm buildings and had an impact on agriculture, stock-breeding and forestry, causing serious damage to local economies, production and tourism.
La péninsule ibérique, et surtout ma région, la Galice, ont souffert une fois de plus, cet été, d’une série d’incendies de forêt qui, en détruisant des centaines de milliers d’hectares de forêt, de végétation, de bétail, de vignes, d’habitations et d’infrastructures agricoles, ont nui à l’agriculture, à l’élevage et au patrimoine forestier, avec pour conséquence de graves préjudices causés aux économies locales, à la production et à l’activité touristique.
