Under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations, the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants is the designated body to regulate immigration consultants who represent, advise or consult for a fee with people who are the subject of a proceeding or application before the minister or before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada.
