The European Parliament, in the light of the need to adopt this Regulation in time for implementation of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund ('the Fund') from the beginning of 2014, in the interests of finding an agreement to that end, and in the light of the intransigence of the Council, has accepted the text of the Regulation as agreed above.

2. Reasonable compensation shall be due only if the applicant has either communicated to the person using the invention or filed with the Office a translation of the claims which the Office has made available to the public and which is in the official language of the Member State in which the person using the invention has his residence or principal place of business or, where that State has more than one official language, in the language which that person has accepted or designated, provided that the contested use constitutes infringement of the application according to the original text of the application and according to the text of the translation.
